The mold is made of durable platinum silicone and can be used with materials such as epoxy/resin, concrete, wax, and plaster. The manufacturer states a heat resistance of up to 232 °C.
Use and maintenance
- Avoid touching the glossy interior. Scratches and marks may be transferred to the finished casting.
- Gently remove any loose particles with tape.
- Allow the casting material to cure completely before demolding. Attempting to remove uncured resin can damage the mold.
- Be very careful with flames or heat guns when removing bubbles, as this can weaken the mold. Use CCR epoxy to avoid the need for flames or heat guns.
- Mold release is not required, but the manufacturer recommends it to extend the life of the mold.
- Be aware that mold release can make the glossy surface more matte.
