Kydex for making sheaths with Kryptek camo on one side, and solid color on the other. In one picture you see both sides, the other shows a section of about 40x30cm.
Kydex is a durable and solid thermoplastic that is often used in knife sheaths and gun holsters. Can also be used for other purposes such as tool holders, jigs, templates, shaft spacers and so on. Heat the sheet for a couple of minutes at 150-200 degrees and press it with the knife between foam sheets or similar to give a tight shape. Kydex can be shaped again and again by heating it again and trying again, so if you miss the first time, just try again. When you are satisfied with the pressing, cut away what is not needed and sand down the edges. The skates can be glued, milled, welded with heat or plastic welding, sewn/woven and polished to a nice shiny edge if desired!
