What is "Casström Strop paste" grinding paste?
It is a grinding paste used to polish the cutting edge of your knife blade. When applied to a leather strap , it will remove any rough edges or light rolling from the edge, leaving a refined and polished edge.
What grain sizes are available?
Grit size is the term used for the size of the abrasive particles. This abrasive comes in three types with three different grit sizes - coarse, medium and fine. This means you have every grit size needed to ensure your knife edge is highly polished and sharp enough to shave with!
Gray (coarse) : Aluminum oxide that removes raw grain after grinding and provides a rough pre-polishing.
White (medium) : Aluminum oxide that polishes and removes fine grit. A good general choice if you only want to use one grit size.
Green (fine) : Chromium oxide paste that refines and polishes to a super finish.
How do I use it?
It's simple. It's designed to be used on a leather strap and is easy to apply. Simply rub a small amount of strap paste onto a leather strap and you're ready to start strapping. When a little too much paste builds up on your strap, simply scrape off the excess with the back of an old knife, for example.
How big is it?
7 cm x 2.1 cm dia. Approx. 50g.
